This app favors drivers WAY more than it favors you, the consumer. Basically, it allows any driver that wants your fare, no matter how far away they are, to accept it, then charge you for however much it would have been had you driven that entire way in addition to the cost of getting to your actual destination. Im sorry but that is COMPLETELY unacceptable and borderline fraud. At least with apps like Uber (not saying they do everything right), that fee/fare is normalized and drivers typically only see requests in their immediate pickup area so they dont get screwed on driving a long way to come get you... Case and point: I had two fares going to and coming from the same area in Rome. The fare should have actually been 8-10 Euro. The drivers that accepted my fares were more than 2 miles away from my then current location when they accepted, so by the time they got to me the meter was at 10 euro. By the time I arrived at the destination, the meters read 15 euro. 1) I get why they do this, but that means the "fare estimate" which is actually quite accurate from a point A to point B calculation, is absolutely garbage. 2) use a regular cab or Uber Black if possible, because paying 2x for a 10 year old Fiat when you can be in a black Benz with decent suspension seems like a total rip off. Bottom line: This app is Highway robbery. Drivers are partially to blame.

After the driver has accepted and is en route for pickup you can no longer enter destination, payment method, other particulars - you have to do it all before submitting the order. The app wouldnt accept a second credit card, gave a message that my bank rejected the attempt (they didnt, I called them on an international call to verify), finally accepted after 8th attempt or so. App runs much slower than other taxi apps.

Even after resetting the password login doesnt work. No error message is shown at all. Also the Facebook option doesnt work. Really bad :-(

Have used app a few times in Barcelona. It worked ok the first time, the next six tries were all failures. I ended up being late for dinner reservations and hand hailed a cab instead. This program is unreliable to the extreme. I am not wasting any more time on it. Would use Uber if more available in BCN.

Great app. so easy to use...especially abroad where language barriers usually would complicate things.

The app doesnt allow you to rate drivers, so they tend to drive very dangerously; you really have to convince them to drive safely! Also, the app estimated a trip to the airport would cost me €8, but in actuality it cost me €35. Now, a few Euro out I understand, but the driver went the most direct route.

This app works so much better than anticipated. Barcelona, Seville, Nerja... It just works!

I was told the calculated fare was 18€ and I was charged 60€ , he told me the metered fare started from when he left his destination, how do I know he didnt circle from the parking lot for 10 min? When I was watching the app it said he was 15 min away then he was 25 min then 14 then 16.. So how dont I know he took the longest way? When I took the cab from the train to the mall it was 20€ so when I ordered the taxi from this app I was told it would be 18€ and I thought that was more then fair.... So I continued with my order. I would never have ordered the taxi if it was 60€ . I could of canceled it when I saw a taxi by the mall. And he would of drove all that way for nothing but thats what I get for being a good person. Better yet if I new it would be 60€ I would of never ordered the cab. When I was trying to leave the cab and telling him I was told it was 18€ by the app he would not let me out his cab and was saying he was goin to drive me somewhere else .. Or to the police. So I just gave him the money so I can get out. Smh he tried to kidnap me, technically. I dont see how a cab would ever cost 60€ to travel from Aroso to Rho its a 10 min ride.

They tell you it will cost a certain amount when you are making the decision to order the taxi, and then it costs twice as much. Dont use it.

Main point of this long paragraph is the following: There is likely a loop hole within the mytaxi system app that allows the drivers control of the app so that they can "end" a drive on the app side. This allows them to stop the app fare early so that you can not view the rest of the ride, since the app assumes the ride is complete, but it allows the taxi driver to continue the same drive and fare using their own taxi fare counter without allowing the app or the riders to verify route and / or fare amount using the app. It was our first time in Italy and we had learned about the mytaxi app via googlemaps since it suggested that this app would provide a cheaper transportation option. We hailed the taxi using this app and met the driver at the airport. The app had calculated both the total, estimated fare amount, the best route and the time it would take to arrive to our destination ( it was rush hour, unfortunately, and the app estimated approximately 60 euros and about 34 minutes drive time). We hopped in the taxi and were on our way when about 10 minutes into the drive we received a screen notification that stated, "please pay your fare now and ask your driver if you need a receipt". The screen would not allow us to exit or view the drive any longer at that point. We were extremely bewildered as we were clearly not complete with our drive and still had quite more of a distance to go ( we reviewed via googlemaps). Additionally, we noticed that he was not taking the suggested mytaxi route which was supposedly estimated at the quickest route time. At this point, we asked the driver why we received this message as his app view still showed an active drive status. He said he did not know why. We also asked him why he was not taking the suggested mytaxi route and he stated that it was a lot of traffic. We attempted to see if we could reach out to customer service or some other avenue but the app does not provide any of these services for immediate use. By the time we hit the 60 euro mark we asked him how much longer and he stated "about 10 minutes". We finally arrived close to our destination with the taxi fare counter at close to 80euros and proclaimed that we wanted out of the vehicle and that the estimate was grossly different than what we were charged. Before we were about to step out, he said, " open your app" and, lo and behold, miraculously ( yes, is im being sarcastic), the app was working once again and somehow the final fare amount was reduced to 70euros with an option to pay. I wish this app was active in every country! It makes my life easier. Especially since I dont have to deal with paper receipts and bad mood drivers ;-)

Not good app. I am going to delete it. The meter starts when you order the taxi. So take a taxi by the street. It is cheaper

Developers, please check what I was charged vs the distance traveled. 15euro for a 5 euro ride. The drivers turn the meter on before pickup. Last night the driver had 10 euro on the meter when we got in the car. Why are you allowing this?!?! Good bye my taxi, hello uber.

Very convenient and fast. Although its difficult to find bigger taxis sometimes

Hotel offered to arrange a taxi @ €40. MyTaxi estimated €21+charge for early morning. Total cost was €25. The app gave us the drivers cell number which allowed me to confirm the night before, helping my wifes anxiety. Love it!

The preorder feature is one among lots on insightful intuitive interface, very easy, love it!

This app makes you wait for at least over 15 minutes to get a taxi, then times out. Other times a taxi driver accepts the ride then cancels it 5 minutes later..... had that happen over 5 times. This app is garbage.
